Volunteer Judges

Become an Online Speech & Debate Competition Judge

On behalf of the National Bright Leader of Tomorrow, we are deeply grateful for your time, expertise, and commitment to empowering the next generation of confident communicators.

As a volunteer judge for our online speech and debate competition, you play a vital role in shaping a meaningful experience for every student who steps up to speak. Many of these young participants are competing for the first time — and your encouragement, thoughtful feedback, and fair evaluation can leave a lasting impression that extends far beyond this event.

We ask that you approach each round with an open mind and a spirit of mentorship. Our competitors come from diverse backgrounds and experience levels, and what unites them is the courage to find their voice. Your role is not only to score, but to affirm that courage.

Please take a moment to review the scoring rubric and judging guidelines provided before your rounds begin. If you have any questions or encounter any technical difficulties during the competition, our volunteer coordinators are standing by to assist you.

Thank you again for giving your time to this mission. Because of volunteers like you, today's students become tomorrow's leaders.
